Julia Blaszkowski

Ms. Blaszkowski joined Flott & Co. in August 2023 as a law clerk at the start of her third year of law school and is now continuing in this role. She took the D.C. bar exam this past July and is currently awaiting her results. Upon passing, she will transition to the role of Associate Attorney. Ms. Blaszkowski also plans on sitting for the Virginia bar exam next spring.

Ms. Blaszkowski provides consulting and compliance services on international tax matters for businesses and individuals. This includes the US taxation of citizens residing overseas, foreign estates with US property, and foreign persons and entities with US income or property. In addition, she advises on structuring both US and foreign business entities to optimize clients’ worldwide tax exposure. Ms. Blaszkowski supports the business tax compliance and company formation team and handles individual tax compliance.

A native of Houston, Texas, Ms. Blaszkowski earned her B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin and most recently obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. During law school, she was a research assistant in the financial regulation department and spent a summer working at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). She was also a notes editor for the George Mason International Law Journal and a student mentor for incoming students. Ms. Blaszkowski is fluent in Polish and has basic working proficiency in German. In her free time, she enjoys participating in triathlons, reading, and traveling.
